Depending on your requirements in terms of regularity, time, education and pedagogy, you are more likely to be looking for a babysitter, a childminder or a nanny.

Babysitter
A babysitter looks after children sporadically and in the afternoons or evenings at your home. It is often young girls who take on the caregiver role for your children during this time and it is more about ‘looking after’ than raising or pedagogically supporting the children.
Childminder
Childminders or daycare families look after one or more children at home. In most cases, this is regular and long-term care that allows the parents to be gainfully employed. In addition to caregiver duties, they also take on educational tasks. Educational training is not mandatory for childminders - however, there are courses that can be attended.
Childminders are subject to special legal provisions, which are regulated at cantonal level. Like crèches, they are subject to authorisation and supervision requirements. You can find more information on this here.
Nanny
A nanny usually has pedagogical training and looks after the children in the family home. The nanny is often a very important carer for the children and takes on educational and pedagogical tasks in addition to caregiver duties.
